Élan Vital is a French term for vital life force. My practice goes to the core of that philosophy and spirals outwards. I analyze the world through the investigation of psychoanalysis and historical repetition. Themes of empire, violence, rebirth, escape, and the extremes of emotional states arise in my practice.

My works show dynamic energy and blurry stillness. My art is a representation of my feelings of anxiety, activation, and uncertainty about existence today and the future. Life happens so fast that it's hard to catch what is happening and hold on for longer than a moment. I am drawn to capturing this motion in my works across both abstract and figurative forms.

In opposition to such feelings, I demand the enjoyment of life, the continuation of life, and the fulfillment of life.
